Technical update

As many of you might know is that we are using Google Blogger to maintain this blog. And when I say we I mean Joe, Ann, and myself.

Google has released a new beta version of Google Blogger that does not work with the current setting we use, having your own domain name. Therefore we have moved the domain back to the Google servers, to speed up the process of switching to the beta.

What will this mean for you? Nothing at the moment. Our new URL is http://egonweb.blogspot.com/ but our old URL http://www.egonweb.nl/ and all the links to the old website still work.

We hope to keep you all entertained with funny videos for a long time to come and I'm currently thinking of renaming the website, so if you have any suggestions, please let us know.

Also, if you want to contribute to the website please let us know and we'll see what we can do!

HAYS, (KS)--Division 2's Ft. Hays State Tigers football practice was delayed nearly two hours today after a player reported finding an unknown white powdery substance on the practice field. Head coach Kevin Verdugo immediately suspended practice and called the police and federal investigators. After a complete analysis, FBI forensic experts determined that the white substance unknown to Tigers players was the GOAL LINE. Practice resumed after special agents decided the team was unlikely to encounter the substance again.

A little much for my first day?

Well, it's my first day on Egonweb, and I've already posted twice! That's why they pay me the big (nada) bucks. Some highlights of American News broadcasting, John Stewart and Stephen Colbert never cease to amuse me. I find that out of all the T.V. I miss, I miss seeing them the most (sigh...and yet so much more).

This week concluded Stephen Colbert's Green Screen Challenge. In case you don't know Stephen Colbert, at one point in his show a few months ago, jumped in front of a green screen; lightsaber in hand. After confirming that ILM would add in the effects later, Stephen proceeded to become one of the worst jedi in world history, no, strike that, third worst, behind the jedi formally known as Skywalker, and the once-now-not-so mystic Kenobi. His jumps and girations would attract more eyes than the Dustin Diamond Dirty Sanchez, Caramba!

Fans poured out across the net to do ILM's job for them, cut the video into a Star-bert mini, and then flooded Youtube with their projects. The Colbert Nation was so impressed, they decided to make it into a competition.

This week the two finalists were announced. Bonnie and George L. Only one of them was able to make it to the show, Bonnie had to stay home so George L., as in, George "Frakin'" Lucas (sorry, the geekiness and the parenthesis just keep coming outta nowhere (btw, I know Frakin's Battlestar and not Star Wars, too original.))

Bonnie won. George left with the boobie prize: stickers and a T-shirt if I'm not mistaken.

And to conclude the show, George L. dueled Colbert. It was nut a pretty sight...oh, I crack no one up.
